You spend a night in Volcanoes National Park. The park starts from Kigali Airport, and transfers to the northern province of Rwanda. It’s a shorter distance from Kigali to VNP (2hrs drive) compared to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (3-4hrs drive).

Day 1: Kigali Airport – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On arriving at Kigali Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional safari guide/ driver.  Transfer to Volcanoes National Park situated in the northern province of Rwanda – Musanze region. VNP is the most visited park in Rwanda and gorillas are the top tourist attraction.

Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking – Return to Kigali city

Breakfast is followed by the transfer to Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Get 30 minutes of briefing and thereafter, walk into the jungles to encounter Mountain Gorillas. The time spent while searching for Gorillas is unpredictable but ranges between 3-6 hours or a full day depending on the movement of the gorillas in their natural habitat.

Meet gorillas and stay for a maximum of 1 hour, take photos/ films, and turn to your accommodation for lunch and thereafter, drive to Kigali Airport.
