Uganda is the pearl of Africa located in East Africa. The country is gifted with a lot in terms of Tourism. Many visitors come to Uganda to enjoy Nature as in terms of wildlife safaris, primate safaris, outdoor activities and many more.
The country has many tourism destination which visitors package depending on their preferences. Some of the renowned tourism destinations in Uganda include, Bwindi, Mgahinga, kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Murchison falls National Park and many others. Tourism Activities in Uganda
Gorilla Tracking: This is among the major Tourism activities in Uganda bringing many visitors to this country. Mountain Gorillas is a rare species only found in 3 countries in the world Uganda inclusive. They are very intelligent creatures and here in Uganda they can be seen in Bwindi and Mgahinga National Park.
In order to be able to track mountain Gorillas in Uganda, you need to obtain a gorilla permit issued from Uganda wildlife Authority. Only registered companies are allowed to obtain for their visitor’s gorillas permits. Since there is a limited number of people per day per gorilla family and the demand is high. Booking in advance is very crucial.
Chimpanzee Tracking: This is among the great primates which can be found in Uganda. Together with Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzees are also intelligent animals and close to humans by 98% of DNA. They can be seen in quite many places in Uganda like Kibale National Park, Budongo forest, kalinzu Forest, kyambura gorge, Bugoma forest, and Ngamba Island. It is a life time experience to be near the close relatives of humans.
Game drives: Uganda is gifted by many wildlife parks and in each of these parks, Game drives are conducted. Some of these parks include Queen Elizabeth, lake Mburo, Murchison falls, Kidepo National Park and others, game drives will let visitors enjoy wild animals in Uganda like the big five, Antelopes, giraffes, Zebras and many more.

Nature walks: nature walks in Uganda are so rewarding and many visitors do these activities to come nearer to nature also some other small attractions. With Nature Walk, it involves walking on foot with the guide in different protected areas. In Uganda, nature walk can be done in Bwindi national park, Mgahinga National Park and many others.

The best time to do most activities in Uganda is in dry season. This is where the weather is pleasant favoring primate tracking, Nature walks, Game drives because the trails are not muddy.
Even in Rainy season, activities are conducted. Rain can be unpredictable in some dense forests and mountains. More over some activity like birding. There are specific types of birds which are mostly seen in wet seasons.
