It’s one of the most popular gorilla safaris in Uganda. The 3-day Uganda safari will offer you a chance to meet Mountain Gorillas in their natural environment, Spend two nights in southwestern Uganda (Bwindi Impenetrable National Park) and trek Gorillas once.
Day 1: Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will meet our professional Safari guide/ driver at Entebbe International Airport – He will brief you shortly and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. BINP is the major home of Mountain Gorilla with 19 habituated gorilla families, situated in Southwestern Uganda and can be reached between a 7-9hrs drive. On the way, you will have two stopovers; at the Uganda Equator for photos and in Mbarara town for Lunch. Continue to the park for dinner and overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Chameleon Hill Lodge, Lake Mutanda Resort or Rushaga Gorilla Camp
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After early morning breakfast, the guide will take you to the park headquarters for briefing in preparation for Gorilla trekking (ensure that you have proper gorilla trekking gear). The rangers will equip you with the “Dos” and “Don’ts” during gorilla trekking. After briefing, the ranger guides will group you into a maximum of 8 people and each group will visit one gorilla family a day. Walk in the jungles of Bwindi to meet Gorillas. The time spent by trekkers while looking for gorillas is unpredictable but rangers between 1-5 people but sometimes take a full day depending on the movement of the gorillas on that day. When you meet a gorilla, reduce your voice, maintain a distance of 7 meters- take photos, Films, and so on. A maximum of 1 hour is always given to trekkers to observe, take photos, and study about gorillas among others. Return to your respective accommodation for lunch and relax. Dinner and overnight at the previous accommodation.
Day 3: Drive back to Entebbe Airport
After breakfast, drive at leisure back to Entebbe Airport – en route lunch and proceed to Entebbe International Airport for evening departure.
