Day 1: Kigali city – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our professional safari guide/ driver will meet you in Kigali city. He will brief you shortly and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park situated in south western Uganda (3-4hrs drive). The journey is amazing as you will go viewing unique relief features, drainage features, and vegetation types. Arrival for lunch, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking – Afternoon Batwa cultural tour.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters (with packed lunch and water) for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking. The time taken while searching for the humble giant apes is unpredictable however; it ranges between 2-5 hours depending on the movements of the Gorillas. The activity involves climbing up and sloping down making it tiresome but the thrill of encountering Gorillas erases the poor memories you obtained while looking for them. Meet Gorillas and chat for a maximum of one hour – take photos, films and then return to your lodge for lunch and prepare for Batwa cultural tour: enjoy music, dance and drama performed by Batwa pygmies. Dinner and overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park – afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel
After breakfast, drive to the second largest National Park in Uganda (Queen Elizabeth National Park). You will go via Ishasha sector to be able to see the tree climbing lions swinging on fig tree- proceed to the park for lunch and then enjoy afternoon boat on Kazinga channel to see crocodiles, Hippos and many birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge, Katara Lodge or Enganzi Lodge.
Day 4: Morning Game drive – afternoon transfer to Kibale National Park – Nocturnal walk in Kibale Forest.
After breakfast, enjoy morning game drive to see a variety of wild animals like elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes, impalas, water bucks to mention but a few. Return to your Lodge for lunch and then drive Kibale National Park to prepare for night walk to see nocturnal animals and birds like bush babies, owls among others. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Primate Lodge, Crystal safari Lodge or Turaco treetop.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking – Kibale cultural tour
After breakfast, you will move to the park headquarters for briefing with other trekkers. In groups you will move into the jungle to search for the amazing chimps. Meet them in the forests, chat, and take films / photos – return to your Lodge for lunch and relax a bit as prepare for cultural walk- visit the Toro palace and so on. Return for dinner and overnight at Kibale Primate Lodge, Crystal safari Lodge or Turaco treetop.
Day 6: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary – Dinner and overnight at the Sanctuary.
After breakfast, drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary situated in Nakasongola district. Arrive, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Private Guest House.
Day 7: White Rhino trekking – Drive to Entebbe Town – Drop off at 2 Friend Beach Hotel
After breakfast, trek move to trek Rhinos in their natural habitat – drive to Entebbe for lunch, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at 2 Friend Beach Hotel.
