Day 1: Fly from Entebbe to Apoka Airstrip
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional safari guide/ driver. Board a charter flight to Apoka Airstrip in Kidepo Valley National Park. KNP is one of the parks that brings a clear picture of the true wildness. Kidepo Valley National Park’s landscape extends across 1,442km². Altitudes range from 914m above sea level on the valley floor to the 2,750m peak of Mount Morungole which dominates the horizon.
Dinner and overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge or Adere Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Guided Game drive – Relax in the afternoon
After breakfast, you will hire a ranger guide to take you into the game drive to see animals like leopards, lions, antelopes, zebras, Giraffes, waterbuck and so on.
You will be driven in a safari vehicle with a pop up for clear viewing and excellent photography. The ranger guide from Uganda Wildlife Authority will explain more about the wild game encountered. Also expect to see the oasis, birds, topography, and unique vegetation among others.
Day 3: Cultural tour – Fly back to Entebbe Airport
A cultural tour will enable you discover the cultural norms of the Karamojong people, The Ik people and so on. Visit their areas for lots of entertainment through music, dance and drama, cultural exhibitions and so on.
In the afternoon, you will fly back to Entebbe Airport for dinner and overnight at 2 Friend Beach Hotel or Protea Hotel by Marriott Entebbe.
Day 4: Fly to Kisoro Air strip in western Uganda – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, drive to Entebbe Airport – board the plane to Kisoro Airstrip. Meet our guide at the Airstrip and drive to the Bwindi impenetrable national Park. Bwindi Forest is the most visited park in Uganda famous for protecting a large number of Mountain Gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants.
More famously, this “impenetrable forest” also protects an estimated 459 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked. Have Lunch, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, Chameleon Hill Lodge, or Mahogany Spring Lodge.
Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Mountain Gorilla Trekking is the top tourist activity in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Uganda at large. Bwindi is known for protecting over 19 habituated gorilla families and each group is visited by a maximum of eight people. Therefore, you can decide to trek in the Buhoma sector, Rushaga sector, Nkuringo sector or Ruhija sector.
Meet Gorillas in their natural habitat, and watch them doing their daily activities. Take photos and return to your accommodation for lunch, relax, and wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to the second-largest park in Uganda (QENP). The journey will take you to the Ishasha sector to search for the tree-climbing lions which is a rare lion species hard to find in different parts of Africa. You will reach at Mweya Safari Lodge or Katara Lodge during lunchtime and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge – afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel
After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter, walk in the forest to encounter the chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge.
The gorge also hosts other primates like olive baboons, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and so on. Also, expect to see a variety of birds and expect to spend 4-6 hours before returning to your respective accommodative accommodation for lunch and go fo a boat cruise to see a variety of Hippos, crocodiles, and so on.
Day 8: Fly back to Entebbe Airport
Breakfast and drive to Kihihi Airstrip – fly to Entebbe Airport.
