Gorilla Tracking.
This is done in volcano national park one of the few places where visitors can see these creatures in their natural environment. To do this activity, there is need to book gorilla permit in advance from Rwanda Development board prior because they are subject to availability.
The activity starts with briefing at the park headquarter where allocation of gorilla families is also done. After, visitors start tracking the allocated group. Due to many purposes like conservation, 8 visitors are allowed to track each gorilla family.
Once the gorilla family is encountered (this is done with the help of rangers and park guides), 1 hour of staying with the group is granted. It is a great achievement to see the close relatives of humans in their natural environment. After 1 hour is over, visitors descend back and then they are given certificates to take back home.
Golden monkey Tracking.
This is another great activity done in Volcano National park. It is one of the concrete reasons why visitors stay around Volcanoes for more than one night. Golden monkeys are also rarely seen elsewhere except in virungas. They are very attractive and very active. Seeing them in their natural environment jumping around the tree tops is a great experience.
Chimpanzee Tracking
This can be done in Nyungwe National Park and Gishwati forest. Chimpanzees are great primate and following them in their natural environment is amazing. They are close relatives of human by 98%. As visitors track the Chimpanzee, there is also a chance to see the great Natural Forest with cool Environment. Listen to different sounds of nature and fall in love with the experience.
Canopy walk:
The walk is done in Nyungwe National Park, it is the first of its own in East Africa. Visitors walk on the raised platform and view attractions face to face in the tree canopies. Game drives.
