It’s one of the shortest trips in Rwanda. It saves time and money but highly demanding in terms of physical fitness.

1-day Rwanda Gorilla safari starts in Kigali at around 5 am – drive to Volcanoes National Park through the rolling hills of Rwanda with clear views of the mighty Virunga ranges. Be at the park headquarters by 7:30 am ready for briefing.  The 30-minute briefing equips guests with the rules and regulations governing mountain Gorilla trekking.

It should be noted that a maximum of 8 people is allowed to visit each gorilla family. The walk to encounter mountain Gorillas takes between 3-6hrs and on meeting with them, the ranger guides allow 1 hour to take photos/ films, learn, and enjoy the views. The elapse of 1hr takes you back to have lunch and drive back to Kigali Airport for evening departure.
